ACT Laboratory

Analytical Chemical Testing Laboratory, Inc. (ACT) was established in 1986 by founder and Head Chemist, Robert Naman. We proudly offer our services to the Greater Mobile Area as well as our neighboring states and beyond. We are a full-service laboratory offering not only testing, but sample collection/pick-up, analysis, and results interpretation.

ACT performs comprehensive testing and design services for water, wastewater, stormwater, and construction materials. We routinely perform sampling and analysis for permittees within the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program.

ACT has experienced technicians who perform hydraulic oil and fuel analysis including microscopic-particulate counts, with NAS 1638 Class determinations. ACT performs comprehensive petroleum analyses that include wear metals, contaminants, additives, water content, flash point, and viscosity.

We also offer Asbestos Inspection Services as well as Mold Inspection and Testing. Our certified, licensed inspector will arrive onsite and collect samples for analysis. Afterwards, if needed, we prepare Asbestos Abatement Plans and/or Mold Remediation Protocols.

Additionally, ACT has extensive experience with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA’s), directing and performing Phase II delineations, and Phase III remediation efforts. To that end, ACT prepares Best Management Practices Plans (BMP), Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure Plans (SPCC), as well as Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPP).

All methodologies utilized are in accordance with those specified by the American Section of the International Association for Testing Materials (ASTM), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM).
